Mr. Olga Ashley Herath and Ms. Radhika Rathnayake have been appointed as Independent and Non-Executive Directors. Both of them are bringing with them expertise that would benefit Bairaha Farms PLC in its expansion and growth strategies.
Mr. Olga Ashley Herath boasts 38 years of rich experience with British American Tobacco PLC in senior management positions. His last position was as the Global RTM and Business Development Manager for the Asia Pacific region, overseeing 23 countries and reporting to BAT group headquarters in London.
Notably, Olga played a key role in formulating the global RTM strategy, negotiating global distributor contracts, and engaging clients in the top 40 global markets, emphasizing internal performance and execution quality.
During his tenure at Ceylon Tobacco Company, a member of British American Tobacco PLC, Olga focused on driving excellence in route-to-market strategy, distributor consolidation, process standardization, and strategic Trade Marketing initiatives.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales, UK, and is a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Ms. Radhika Rathnayake’s career spans over 15 years in investments and investment research across multiple asset classes, valuation, and strategy. Currently, she is a member of the analytical team at Fitch Ratings Lanka Ltd, overseeing a portfolio of non-financial corporates across diverse industries. Previously, she was the Head of Research at Lanka Securities (Pvt) Ltd, a licensed member of the Colombo Stock Exchange, where she led the investment research division.
Radhika is a CFA Charter holder and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Anglia Ruskin, UK. She has received multiple accolades for her performance in CIMA (UK) exams at both local and international levels.
