Bairaha Farms PLC continues to nurture its eco-system with multi-platform projects
February 2022, Colombo, Recognizing the need to nurture an educated Sri Lanka, Bairaha Farms PLC continued its purposeful drive for the fourth consecutive year through its hallmark “Bairaha Help to Learn” program. The program offers support to all school-going children of all its employees across all its farms, factories, and offices island wide. As a result, nearly 600 students of employees who are currently studying in grades one through to 13 across the island, received Bairaha branded school bags and stationary packs through this annual initiative.

This is to inform you that in accordance with a decision taken by Bairaha Farms PLC and our 50% owned Joint Venture Companies; Fortune Agro Industries (Pvt) Ltd. together with Windsor Real Estate Ltd., signed an Agreement as well as executed on 30th October 2018, a deed of transfer with CIC Grains (Pvt) Ltd. by the said joint venture companies of ours to acquire the land in extent of 4A 1R 6P, together with Buildings and Silos for the storage and drying of maize of CIC Grains (Pvt) Ltd., factory located at Moneragala, for a total purchase consideration of Rs.340 Million.
Bairaha Farms PLC Contributes to Develop Wathupitiwala Hospital Again
Bairaha Farms PLC that focuses on the health of its customers since its inception initiated its social welfare programme 2018 last month committing to its social responsibility furthermore.
Accordingly, Bairaha chose to renovate the Surgical Ward No. 15 of the Wathupitiwala Base Hospital, one of the main hospitals, the hospital that owns the largest land among the other hospitals of the country.
Bairaha’s Human Resource team on September 28, 2018, had an opportunity to participate in a grand event of Science Industry Interaction Cell (SIIC), which was ceremonially organized by the Science Faculty of the University of Peradeniya, branding it as the Industrial Day 2018, and which has been held for the fourth consecutive year.
